Association of Free Colonies (AFCO)
The Association of Free Colonies (AFCO), also known as the Separatists, are a collection of worlds in Sector 006, with limited colonial representation in other sectors, including Sector 005. The Free Colonies broke off from the Earth Empire in 2488 before declaring itself on the interstellar stage in 2502 with the fall of the Earth Empire. The Association is a loose association of worlds centred on New Mars in Sector 006. AFCO worlds are independently governed, though they share a common foreign and trade policy. AFCO worlds are a motley grouping, combining corporate conglomerate worlds, democracies, revolutionary transhumanist colonies and a variety of systems and cultures who’ve developed in the past 100 years since the Independence Wars. The current Association President is Marianna Cacutt, Sector President is Wayloon Tang PhD, and their Sector 005 Space Marshal is Space Marshal Vo Giap.
